Topics

David’s preferred talk revolves around the World Marathon Challenge, an international race where he ran 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days, and won. The presentation begins with a person rapidly approaching middle age, an ever-expanding waistline and deteriorating physical fitness. It discusses the impetus and motivation for change, and how to make an effective change in one’s life. The presentation presents a case that anybody, with sufficient desire and dedication, can change their life for the better through a combination of self-belief, teamwork, family support and determination.

David also has a second talk about travelling and racing in North Korea, and the idiosyncrasies of competing in that country.
