Mark van Rijmenam delivered his keynote speech ‘The Collaboration Era – How to Thrive in an Exponential World’ at the Fujitsu Distinguished Engineers Conference.
Jim Millen wrote highlights from Mark’s keynote in an article for Fujitsu:
Organisations move at the pace of technological change, which is now extremely fast. This means that it’s not enough to have a strategy that’s simply focussed on the current situation: you have to look to the future, or risk being left behind. And the future will be a very different place.
Mark van Rijmenam, in his keynote, explained how collaboration among employees, customers, business units and even things (as in, the Internet of Things) will form much more of the future landscape than it does in the present day.
The core of this will be big data, blockchain and AI. Mark described these as “the holy grail for organisations of tomorrow.”
