Alan Wiley is perhaps the most experienced and controversial referee of his generation. He has refereed 333 Premier League games, more than 200 League games, 24 international games, 36 EUFA games and the 2006 FA Cup Final.
A former police offer, he left the force so as to pursue a full-time career as a referee. Through his dedication he achieved global recognition in the world of football. He is well known for his on-pitch exchanges with Sir Alex Ferguson. Alan retired from the Premier League in 2010.
An excellent communicator and presenter, he now occupies a key role in the training of today’s professional Premier League and Football League referees.
