We at Speakers Connect are delighted to share that Alisa Camplin has been appointed by the Australian Olympic Committee to be the Deputy Chef de Mission of the Australian Team at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
Alisa is Australia’s first female Winter Olympic Gold Medalist (Salt Lake City 2002). She was also the Performance Manager for the Australian Team at the PyeongChang Winter Games in 2018 and has previously been Chef de Mission for the Australian Team at the Innsbruck 2012 Youth Olympic Games.
“It’s an absolute honour to be named as Deputy Chef de Mission for Beijing 2022 – you can never take these very special appointments for granted! Beijing 2022 will bring forward different opportunities for our team, and after living in Hong Kong for the last few years, I have a great sense of the cultural and environmental landscape we will be operating in. I can’t wait to help our athletes, coaches and officials with preparations to maximise our performances at the games. The Australian Olympic Team did that for me in 2002 and 2006, and it’s a privilege to be serving the next generation with that same level of passion and commitment to excellence.”
