Brad Katsuyama, the subject of Michael Lewis’ latest book, “Flash Boys”, will be in Asia in mid September 2014. Contact us at Speakers Connect if you wish to have him as a speaker.
Watch here Katsuyama and ‘Flash Boys’ author Michael Lewis talking about market volatility.
Brad Katsuyama
Brad Katsuyama is the CEO of IEX (Investors Exchange) and the subject of Michael Lewis’ non-fictional book, Flash Boys. The book was published in March 2014 and it is about a small group of Wall Street guys who figure out that the U.S. stock market has been rigged for the benefit of insiders and that, post–financial crisis, the markets have become not more free but less, and more controlled by the big Wall Street banks.
Candid, concise, and engaging, Brad Katsuyama discusses the high frequency trading (HFT) controversy that Flash Boys has brought to the forefront—explaining both what is at issue with the practice and detailing how and why he sought to restore balance (and trust) to the market with the creation of IEX. Brad also discusses innovation, technology, and ethics at the intersection of the stock market, and business in general.
Speech Topics: Building and Leading High Performance Teams; Innovation in the Workplace: How to Think Differently; Technology & Business: Creating Synergies Between Two Starkly Different Industries; Ethics & Capitalism: The Roles of Integrity, Work Ethic, and Technology in the Stock Market.
