Darren McGrady
Darren McGrady was the personal chef to Queen Elizabeth II, Diana, Princess of Wales and Princes William and Harry for fifteen years and has cooked for five US Presidents.
It was Darren’s self confidence and belief in the Monarchy after watching Charles and Diana’s wedding that he knew he wanted to cook at Buckingham Palace. In just a few months from that fateful day, Darren began working in the Royal Kitchens. Over the next eleven years as he travelled the world with the royal family, cooking for them on a day-to-day basis, he became part of their lives. Becoming such a familiar face in the royal kitchens to Princess Diana that when her and Prince Charles separated the Princess requested Darren move to Kensington Palace to cook for her, William and Harry as their private chef.
His personal friendship with the family, interaction in their day to day lives and watching the difference Princess Diana made in peoples lives first hand is the basis of his passion and inspiration today.
