Rachel Botsman, a visiting lecturer at Oxford University, Saïd Business School and co-author of “What’s Mine is Yours: How Collaborative Consumption is Changing the Way We Live” was honored for her ideas on collaborative economy. Aside from the T50 Breakthrough Idea Award, collaborative consumption was also named by TIME as one of the “10 Ideas That Will Change The World”.

Rachel Botsman is a social innovator, futurist, author, consultant and keynote speaker on the power of collaboration in the current technologies.
Rachel received her BFA (Honors) from the University of Oxford and took her postgraduate studies at Harvard University. She was a former director at the William J. Clinton Foundation and has consulted to Fortune 500 companies and leading non-profit organizations around the world. Rachel is the founder of innovation consultancy company CCLab and a Venture Partner with the Collaborative Fund.
Aside from the book she co-authored, Rachel also regularly contributes to the Australian Financial Review and WIRED on topics related to technology and innovation.
She has presented at high profile events including GOOGLE, The Clinton Global Initiative, No. 10 Downing Street, HP and Microsoft. She was recently named by Monocle as one of the top 20 speakers in the world to have at your conference. Rachel’s TEDx talk on the collaborative economy has been watched by more than 2 million people.
