Rob Lilwall

Rob Lilwall is a British-born, Hong Kong-based TV adventurer, writer and motivational speaker. His two most epic expeditions, the three-year, 50,000-kilometer Cycling Home From Siberia expedition, and the six-month, 5,000-kilometer Walking Home From Mongolia expedition were commissioned as television series for National Geographic. Such expeditions have seen him travel, unsupported, on foot and on bicycle, through some of the harshest places on earth, from the frozen wasteland of the Gobi Desert and the thick jungles of Papua New Guinea, to the hidden valleys of inland China and the war-torn passes of Afghanistan. He is the author of two books. He believes it is good to treat the whole of life, no matter what we are doing, as an adventure. He is also the joint Hong Kong national director of the children’s charity, Viva.

When speaking to corporate and business audiences, Rob relates the ever-growing challenges of the 21st century workplace to his own, at times hilarious, at times deadly serious, trials and tribulations in the wild lands of the world. He contends that with the right attitudes we can achieve more than we ever thought possible. Rob’s presentations are ideal for conferences where, alongside technical topics geared for the business, there is also a need for a captivating motivational message.
