A prolific content creator and international journalist, Chloe Cho is passionate about effective storytelling through television and new media platforms. Chloe co-founded Brilliant Media & Productions in mid-2018 with the goal of creating dynamic and impactful media content for international markets. Her efforts follow much success with such top rated weekly talk shows in Asia Pacific as “Millionaire Minds,” “Investor Insights” and business reality show “Start-up Asia” which were presented, executive produced or created by her via Singapore-headquartered Channel NewsAsia. She served as Executive Producer/ Presenter cum Assistant Vice President from mid-2014 to mid-2018 during which she executed strategy, editorial guidelines and planning for Branded Content, Commercial Productions and Current Affairs. Previously, she was anchor/ correspondent of CNBC Asia for six years as she helmed global business shows such as Capital Connection, Cash Flow, The Call and Asia Market Week out of multiple cities including Singapore, London, HK and Sydney. She has traveled extensively covering major international events from the North Korean nuclear crisis to the global financial meltdown and interviewed key newsmakers including IMF Chief Christine Lagarde, former U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo as well as top business leaders SAP CEO Bill McDermott and former Chairwoman of State Bank of India Arundhati Bhattacharya.
Over the course of her long-running media career that began as a teen in educational television, she was selected as a finalist in the TV Personality category for AIBs (Association for International Broadcasting) Awards in London in 2016 and 2015, and was among 50 Most Influential Koreans recognized for their work in international media, culture and arts by Newsweek Korea in 2009. Earlier she was a finalist for “Best Business Report” at CNN World Report Contributors’ Awards in Atlanta, Georgia of the U.S. in 2003.
Having worked in multiple roles as a news anchor and correspondent as well as executive producer and show creator for numerous TV networks including CNBC, CNN International and Channel NewsAsia, Chloe often chairs panels around the world for the International Monetary Fund, the World Economic Forum, the Asian Development Bank, and the ASEAN Business & Investment Summit among others. Chloe covers a wide range of subjects — from business and finance, technology, start-up disruption and innovation as well as international geopolitics involving Asia, to women empowerment. She’s known to stimulate discussions effectively through a sharp journalistic interviewing style and insightful conversations with a tinge of humor. Raised both in Los Angeles and Seoul, Chloe is trilingual in English, Korean and French.
