Lisa Oake is the former co-host of CNBC Asia’s top-rated morning program Squawk Box. She has sixteen years of experience covering global economics, business and politics. Lisa has conducted thousands of interviews with CEO’s, central bank governors and heads of state including Indonesia’s Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Thailand’s Abhisit Vejjajiva, New Zealand’s Helen Clarke and Canada’s Kim Campbell. She was the first journalist to report live from the trading floor of the Singapore Exchange and to interview the President of Indonesia after the devastation of 2004 tsunami.
Lisa was named Best Media Trainer at the 2017 Asia Training and Development Excellence Awards. She is also a recipient of the Canadian Radio Television News Directors Foundation’s Eric Murray award for investigative journalism and CNBC’s special achievement award for journalistic excellence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario.
