As an investor and advisor, Rui has worked across the full company lifecycle, from seed stage to pre-IPO. She previously served as an investment partner at 500 Global, where she focused on early-stage technology investments, drawing on her deep understanding of both US and China startup ecosystems. Her work is known for combining technical insight with commercial and strategic rigor, particularly in consumer tech, platforms, and digital business models.
Earlier in her career, Rui spent more than a decade in private equity, investment banking, and mergers and acquisitions roles at The Raine Group, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch, working across Silicon Valley and China.
