Varun Agarwal, the 26 year old Indian entrepreneur, talked at the Startuproots event organised by nextbigwhat.com in Bangalore about being an entrepreneur and being successful .

Varun is a filmmaker, entrepreneur and a bestselling author.

His talk on TED India (INK Talks) recently was viewed by over 1.2 Million People on Youtube making him one of the few Indian speakers to cross a Million Views. He was part of the INK team that gave talks at the Pentagon , UN, Facebook , Google and the TIE Con in the USA. He has given lectures at Google India HQ, Cisco India HQ, Yahoo India HQ , HP India HQ besides all the IITs, IIMs and over 100 colleges across India.

Varun is 27 years old and has three companies to his credit – Alma Mater, Reticular And Last Minute Films.  His company Alma Mater is India’s largest provider of merchandise and memorabilia to schools and colleges.  As a filmmaker he has directed the likes of Bollywood stars Preity Zinta and Oscar Winner A R Rahman in music videos and his films have over a million views on YouTube.  His debut novel “How I Braved Anu Aunty And Co-Founded A Million Dollar Company” became a National Bestseller within a month of its release and is already in its seventh print selling over 100,000 copies.
