Edgar Perez is an international keynote speaker and author specialising in the intersection of business and emerging technology. He delivers presentations on how organisations can spark innovation and harness developments across Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Quantum Computing, 5G, and the Metaverse — helping senior leaders navigate and act on accelerating technological change. He has spoken before thousands of executives across more than thirty cities worldwide, including Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, New York, São Paulo, Seoul, Singapore, and Washington DC, through keynote engagements and in-house corporate training programmes. Edgar is the author of three books. His most recent, The AI Breakthrough, explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping industries and what leaders must do to stay ahead of the curve. Knightmare on Wall Street provides an account of the 2012 Knight Capital trading debacle — a pivotal moment that exposed the systemic risks of algorithmic trading — while The Speed Traders, published by McGraw-Hill, opened the door to the then-secretive world of high-frequency trading through candid conversations with leading practitioners. Together, the books reflect his deep grounding in both financial markets and frontier technology.

Earlier in his career, he held executive roles at Citigroup(Vice President), IBM (Senior Consultant), and McKinsey & Company (Strategy Consultant). He holds a degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Lima, a Master of Administration from Universidad ESAN, and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he majored in Finance and Management.
